Our History
The Baker family has been involved in coaching since 1889. From the earliest days of a pony and trap the business has been at the forefront of innovation and enterprise, whether carrying the Royal Mail, transporting troops in war time or launching day trips and excursions in the post war years.

During the 1980's Bakers Dolphin expanded its travel interests, opening a chain of travel agencies throughout the West Country and launching a daily express coach service to London. Holiday tours, theatre trips and excursions developed at an impressive pace and the striking livery of the new super luxury coaches became a familiar sight on the region's roads and motorways.

With 'Door to Door' travel, the widest possible range of holiday destinations and the superb new "Gold Service" vehicles, innovation is still a major part of the business philosophy today. The company is still in the steady hands of the Baker family.
