Bakers Dolphin staff celebrated for combined 290 years of service

An impressive 290 years of service has been celebrated by a South West coach travel company as it honoured 14 of its long serving employees.
Bakers Dolphin, which is based in Weston-super-Mare and provides coach travel from the South West across the UK and abroad, handed out awards recognising the unique contributions each of the celebrated staff members has made in their various roles which include coach drivers, hostesses and sales and reservations staff.

Awards were given for 10, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 40 years of service and staff, along with Bakers Dolphin management, enjoyed a special meal at Duets Restaurant in Weston to celebrate.

Amanda Harrington, Sales and Marketing Director at Bakers Dolphin, said: “To celebrate a combined total of 290 years of committed service is wonderful and we’re immensely grateful to our remarkable staff who go above and beyond to ensure our customers enjoy memorable holidays and trips every time.

“Our Long Service Awards recognise and acknowledge in a small way the huge impact our staff make to the success of the business and we’re pleased that so many people decide to stay with us for many, many years, sometimes for their whole career. We’re like a
family at Bakers Dolphin and we’re very proud of everyone’s individual and combined achievements.”

Among those awarded was Richard Peach who has been a driver at Bakers Dolphin for 40 years. Richard has clocked up over one million miles driving for Bakers Dolphin since joining “for a season”. Now “Peachy” has become part of the family - and part of customers’ families as well.
